Located a couple of minutes away from Manaus, the Museu do Seringal Vila Paraiso is an old movie set (for the movie “The Jungle” apparently) were you can step in the shoes of these antic producers of rubber.

Life conditions must have been epic at the time as if you didn’t die as a consequence of slavering, it would have been anything else: diseases, climate, other attacks and accidents.

The black gold from the trees is also very profitable and if the productions have been pushed a bit further in the forest now, the principle remains the same and is well explained there.

Don’t miss your taxi here, not many boat are passing by this location.
