You can read this in hopefully less than 30 minutes.
Experiencing a life choice by using the example of trying a new dish.
The need and the want
Eating is a need according to Maslow.
Taste is now for most who have passed the survival phase, a source of emotions and a sensory entertainment.
An educated goal is to reach a good experience with food, as often as possible.
Filtered by the ability to receive external signals, discovering something new can create conflicts. Most accept the creation of a controlled environment that always secures and provides expected positivity through all presented choices.
Additional benefits are feeding whatever part of a body, fuelling activities, engagements and enhancing purposes in life.
It nourishes, heals, relieves stress and satisfies as it answers one of the most basic human needs.
Beyond a personal journey, sharing this eventual pleasure with others in close community is an ultimate spiritual communion.
It helps will a self reflection of personal position (in life, society, danger zones…), updates a bond and resilience to keep everyone to a most adaptable stand.
This experience has to be positive, effortless, without sudden and extreme changes. Natural mechanism will guarantee to function under this routine or more something energy efficient.
Privately
The Engine

In a world made of matter and energy, sensors process and classify signals.
This data paves the way to a reaction that is processed by programmed models (Like genetic, physical, education…) and produces a behaviour that will be perceived.
More outputs will be captured, also by the same sensors until the adjustments create acceptable feedbacks.
A bottleneck is created if:
- overloaded,
- misused,
- untrained
- and adapted
(okay I give the example of listening to a sound vibration with anything else that the ear)
and loss of energy. These lower values and items from this list of references get diluted and gradually forgotten.

So to summarise all filters and efforts quickly:
- A signal…
- Is detected
- Analysed
- and Processed.
- A reaction follows and creates signals, (that goes back to step 1.)
- a record is created
- and maintained and updated if needed or disposed
1. A Signal…
We agree to call signal in machines or data received through the nervous system and on an elevated stand stimulus in living organisms.
2. Is Detected
In this exercise here the act focuses on the receptors that are:
- Photoreceptors respond to light.
- Mechanoreceptors, respond to physical forces in touch, hearing, and pressure.
- Thermoreceptors, respond to temperature changes.
- Chemoreceptors, respond to chemicals in taste and smell and in internal changes.
3 to 6. Analysed, Processed and Acted
This ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills is just another definition of the term “intelligence“.
Information could therefore be :
- delayed,
- ignored
- pushed back
- or altered.
There is always a limit. This can however be extended with training, maintenance, enhancements. The more info it can process and the broader references go, the more connexions can be made.
6 to 7. Use it or loose it
Each learning step suggests use of resources
Once passed, this are believed to be:
- Remembered for short and long term use, actively, consciously, unconsciously, sensorily …
- Forgotten

Keeping a records limit reduces efforts in repetitive activity. Cleaning, repairing and maintain are part of nature.
This step plays in the delay of reaction. The less you create information, the more you increase the risks of doubts and failure.
Engines have a limited time from their creations to their retirements
Let me call this “the covered Elephant chart” (pressure performance curve from Stephen Williams)

Spending energy is an art.
- Boredom is a safe place and allow to temporary rest but can also create rust
- Comfort is an area where anybody aims to stay. The more the ambition the more to the pressure
- Stretch is where whoever leads wants to see its dependencies it’s also where the ressource it at most and can start wearing faster
- Strain, Fatigue and poor judgement are visible from outside while Delusion takes over internally.
- Overwhelmed, crisis stage or burnout with serious exhaustion and health problems.
Understand here that whatever extra pressure is added on top of your current performance level is potentially marked. It is a stretch to a potential trauma.
A gentle example would be to add salt in a dish.
You always have salt in a dish, but is you don’t stop then it’s too much and you will always remember the taste.
Joe Dispenza’s suggestion to perform at your best, involve the use of all your senses:
- Visualize success. Imagine mastering your situation with vivid clarity.
- Feel the triumph and gratitude associated with it.
- Regularly rehearse this scenario to reinforce those circuits
The Support
Surrounded by a infinite amount of stimuli sometimes similar, a connected entity will simply be overwhelmed and will need to defer decisions to accessible resources like past observations, specialists or a collective.
Communities and masters have developed and fed reliable references, notably evaluated by the time spent that an individual will contribute but could not possibly have generated on its own.
Statements resulted from combined experiences outweighs single discoveries because they are paved by “the engine” described above.

The only limit are the capacities to comprehend references that evolve at a different rhythm. (Conserve existing values vs. Progress towards new standards)
Once trusted, most of these concepts are integrated and sometimes celebrated with personal experiences. Building a personal diet from these reliable sources is expected to be normal and safe.
More advanced support are called “institutions”, they indeed include religious, educational, professional, or social purpose.
Their sets of advanced references, worked for years by manny, offer predefined and advanced tables and the educated part of the audience will help the ones that could show sign of incomprehension.
It has factual advantages:
- It is an anticipatable,
- A comfortable shortcut,
- Easy to integrate,
- Gives the ability to move on towards other activities that are more interesting, involving or more constructive.
This also sets a virtual environment made of interconnected references and communities.
This routine of referring to other matrices increases the level of confidence when deductions are made.

We also understand here that influence is integrated to all phases of reactions:
- All non verbal elements are copied
- A decryption is made using an internal language. Similarities are placed together and will influence the way we create a record.
The favourite dish
From this explanation above we assume that connecting positive outcomes will help predict the next sets of choices.
There always are reasons to favour certain dishes and to simplify I will focus on one.
Typical reasons can involve:
- the sweet taste or
- the tint of salt
- the softening sensation of a fat element
- the sourness
- the addictive feeling of garlic or other smells …
The temperature of the food or the place where you consume, and people you consume with.
The event that brought you here, your mood …
These last reasons have nothing to do with the nutrition. You will still give to these a strong attention.
To this extend, some communities sacralise and connect a feeling of loss or upgrade if you consume or not specific ingredients.
Note how much of your attention is reserved for these specific activities and appreciate their benefits away from nothingness.

It has inconveniences too…
It is however not a chicken and egg situation but each individual has the power to choose.
An individual’s “Engine”, aware of its consumption, will have an embedded process that will set a preference to using the least amount of effort or energy to process a task.

Referring to an external support can look easier because the effort was made by others and the information is already available and should be verified.
The more an entity refers to the community, the less the training. So the issue is that a member will progressively self-sabotage its way to a group value, always referring findings and actions to suit and stay away from the margin.
The faction can tolerate it as part of a group resilience to a limit that is not exactly the same as its members.
Time will change the average value, allowing the weaker element to keep up and the strongest to support the clan…in theory.

Always referring to a standard pave the way to a dependence. This also result in a sort of predictability.
The influence and control will simply be programmable, not questioned as it is assumed to be acceptable and integrated as the norm.
The idea of having a “good behaviour” following a collective set of rules is a way to stay away from uncomfortable situations.
Spiritual communities will even use sacred concepts to forbid a path away from these norms.
Noises
At the beginning the accumulation of valued experiences, are easy to rank because of the rarity and space available.
This however constantly move, evolve.
The ranking fluctuates due to popular use.
What makes an individual unique will be the time and space arrangement through which he build his experiences.
The accumulation of these sampled records will also be unique by:
- their historical order
- the contexts.
- the if is compared, understood and kept.
- the language used …

A value is only worth the importance we can afford to give.
With time, the matrices of values will become difficult to manage, with all exceptions and contradictions.
Each sensors and units are constantly exposed and need to process the most outstanding information.
Awareness will become ambiguous: it is needed but not entirely wanted.
It is natural to believe that on top of the noise generated by “The Engine”, other factors will move a witness to an actor of changes in routines. They could be:

- external or linked to geographical and social conditions, incidents,
- internal, like, mental, health issues, personal values, or changes in beliefs, goals, individual development or change of values…
Defects and common grounds will constantly generate more to process.
This motivates questions, concerns and a wish to keep an eye open as any species with a rapid sense of adaptation would do.
In this momentum, confronting values between members of the same gang gradually paves the way to this evolving decisions.
It grows with concerns
Questions to update values will preoccupy in the long run and could arise because evidences are too close to personal references. (physical or mental consequences)
Rational or not, the reactions hits self defence mechanism and will even be precipitated in harder circumstances.
Is it the fear of an end or pain that trigger an action? How high is the consumption of energy in that process? What memory level is now affected? Peaks of energy, before unnoticed, change to punctual, intermittent to permanent and nearly impossible to ignore.
Change is around the corner
These signals add up on the engine…
I will not copy the very interesting approach from Doctor John Kotter on the change mechanism but recognise that momentum pre and post decision.
Choosing to value something new could come as fast as a decision, or conclude a long thoughtful process of research if it is seen as easier.
This is the usual great fight between impulse and reason.
Investigated by the need to answer these questions, a subject has to frame and evaluate the process an links that supports his traditional references.

- !: Action is suggested, its opposite has no noticeable consequences.
- !!!: An action is strongly recommended, its opposite has noticeable consequences.
- /!\: There is a risk if an action is not done now!!!
Between many, here are ways to decide if an action is needed:
| This could be based on facts and or intuition | Non Urgent | Urgent |
| Unimportant | i.e. Cutting the grass, sorting schoolbooks in the bag by alphabetical order… | Smoking or other excessive consumptions |
| Important | reach a higher diploma, arriving earlier at an event where seats are not reserved | Release the spoon, it is burning your hand |
Beyond the pair Urgent/Important, other comparisons are worse a try and you can just replace these terms by:
- Value/Cost
- Impact/Effort
- Useful/Complex
To help forecasting the rightest way forward a simple Pros/Cons table can also be used.
Unorganised or out of time, the list could create few reasons, until he can’t really understand it anymore or a slow reaction is just ignored.
With more concentration, these will populate to depict the best outcome.
This bypass is a step in the unknown but still self guided by the constant predictive Engine, and extra attention is a need to measure the distance to be made alone to decide on the stay out of the routine.
Bias are shortcuts that will be used as an escape back to the comfort zone. This is something reassuring to remember.
This experience will be a personal journey.
Explanations have been considered as much as possible.
External influences are less and less valued.
When the way it is presented from the context of the first time: exhilarated by this new experience, a next attempt is torn between fear and adventure.
Senses will by their nature, open the doors to the opportunity presented.
- Sight has captured and processed information already,
- Hearing arguments will give priority to waves that are more in tune…
- What is the most touching, is to connect most of these signals to the physical entity, temperature, comfort…
- Smell is not to be forgotten as it plays with hormones, the chemistry, what makes the integrity.
- …
You taste it.
There is not way back. The merge with perception and reality (as sensorially understood) is made.
Internal and personal senses are now analysing the shape, the smell, the taste, the temperature, the texture, consistence, the moment, the room, the feeling of safety, the view the after effects, the way it ends … A connection has been made.
One single function of the body will now connect this internalised information and record it to a part of the body.
The body will create organic connexions to retain and mostly slow down the natural cleaning and repairing mechanisms from this intake.
Death did not happen, it is now time to …
Analyse
These moments become event more recognisable and integrated when other close references add their personal touch.
Without diving through the feedback rating scale in detail, appreciation are easily polarised from extremes and gradually work their ways to a controlled balance.
Reducing this to three main sections is caricatural but can hopefully help.
Negativity
Triggering frustration or pain will provoke a complete rejection, despite recommendations.
This decision is fast, easy and perfectly answers all of fears of the unknown: it is discomforting and no one wants to have anything to do with it.
It is an effort that cannot be naturally justified.
The only way to go back, this way into it again will be by force or higher purposes.
Alternatives or resilience could sprout and prepare or scare.
Stories and reasons to avoid could even take an inflated conscious place.
The main marker of negativity is the high level of sudden energy involved compared to other reactions.
Indifference
A decision based on pragmatism, logistic and effort made to access this type of food will be made.
Maybe not fully perceived or understood the first time, it could make more sense later, with more experience.
A door remains also open for variations.
Lead to more balance opinion to add in your diet as an option.
It could be used as alternative or a backup plan.
Positive
That good souvenir energies and wants to be kept, protected and added on the diet.
This could actually become the new focal point of a routine.
But hang on: How, did this happen? Why not earlier? Why so short?
Finding reasons to be less positive about it is normal but most wish to enjoy this achievement.
The system maturity will also enlarge the understanding of consequences at a internal, community or universal.
In other terms, does it affect:
- Part of me
- Me
- Us
- Everyone
- Everything
The need to react is also part of the question.
It will translate to unstructured responses or organised like though, words, acts, sets of advanced and influential activities…
It is not suggesting more independent but a balanced approach. This technically will the at a certain level using more energy than a passive shortcut to a perceived reference.
Confusion
It is time to go back to the routine.
The potential and unexpected force of emotions surcharges the treatment of information.
The stronger the food is, the bigger it takes space in consciousness.
It consumes more energy and urges the natural defence mechanisms to reduce the stimulation.
This floods with questions and failure to process quickly obsesses.
The body of reactions precipitates answers, in past experiences, in similar level of stimulation or new attempts.
While the interpretation iconifies to classify, the next try is not the same. It even look a bit more diluted. The conditions were different, expectations may have been too high.
Further attempts increases a risk of an obsessive loop.
It become frustrating but the delay without it too.
Positive or negative, there is a challenge: to accept, battle or use this acquisition.
It is also important to consider weather the stimulation was artificially boosted or not as this will later play in the assessments and next reaction.
When focusing on the absence of it, emptiness creates anxiety and a need of compensation will appear. It, activates the same categories of hormones. The body will simply want to fulfil The missing supply.
How low can this go
On the contrary and also if it is an enforced activity, it could trigger safety mechanisms, syndromes down to traumas. (second source)
The main problem with this mechanism is the way back to the initial routine. The cost, the uncertainty, the impact on our personal environnement will force their ways to the centre of attention.
An attempt to picture this redefining experience is to imagine that you are sitting at your usual table. The set up is as usual, you feel in control.
Regardless of the cause, you suddenly feel a powerful internal tremor where you uncontrollably fall trying to grab everything nearby (apron, table top…) to stabilise yourself. This effort violently pushes your indicators way past your overwhelmed point.
You end up a second later, with pain, a couple of centimetres below surrounded by broken glasses, alone in panic and embarrassment.
Confused, you try to assemble the broken pieces to fix it to at least the same remembered shape.
Grabbing each sharp pieces with your bare hands cuts your hands and you anxiously realise that you now need to stand back up again.
The weight of your body and the slippery ground makes it difficult.
Your new objectives are urgently set in this aftermath. They rely on a shook method. You know that something has to be done and you want to fix it.
The faster you try to stand, the more the risk to fall again but the slower, the more you risk being confronted. You cannot wait and sitting back in this mess is far away from the comfort zone.
While you try to figure the way everything that shaped your past routine was assemble, a flow of new informations continues to come. References and methods are completely overwhelmed and resources stretched to their limits.
If someone comes, even with supporting intentions you will only have frustratingly basic ways to express surprise, pain and confusion in a nutshell.

The broken pieces are your values.
Recorded and maintained away from obliteration.
Curated one by one with your engine, you may however not remember the order.
Signals continue to come and hit a value that sounds (or not) familiar. You can only build around in hope to find cohesion. As it is still consuming energy, your engine will need support. The trades offs are now also less understood since they were part of the same tables of references.
Time passes and you still vividly remember the shock on the ground more than the reason. The sense of urgency becomes a routine for your engine and your resilience slows the recovery. Fatigued and shorter in expectations you are tempted by the easiest.
Connexions
The most challenging in these situations is whether or not you can trust the connexion that your engine has created in it analysis.
They will feel like somehow familiar but could be leading to a broken link and/or create loops.
The more in control you are, the bigger the loop are but up to a point where the conscious mind doesn’t realise repeating behaviour.
Understanding these connexions will allow to freely decide to adjust any potential repeated behaviour like a dependency or an addiction.
Double standard
In a connected society an anxious state is loneliness, this most difficult personal feeling is almost always the consequence of a conflict.
This disengages from many other values and can first affect the most difficult ones.
When possible a choice between staying in control, or just experience the emotion still has to be made…
Trying again is curiously, even considered. The context can, however, drastically change whether this is something wanted or imposed.
Unfulfilled, this food question will consume and take over on original passions and interests, as opposed to taste that constantly evolve …
Endless concerns and questions about trust, loyalty and else will delay or crystallise the debate and even press evolving internal debates to lead characters to reach their own opposition.
Of course there are many ways in between, aiming to make it last, including discretion. These will only delay the confrontation because sharing is needed more than wanted.
The important is to remember. But if it is forgotten or at unconscious level, hope can take over or referring back to “The Support” becomes mandatory..
Hiding
Safe measure on the first though because past experiences are finding hard to deal the increase of energy spent on a confrontation.
During a lapse of time, it is possible to keep away from sight to process an information and to better visualise and master a reaction.
This need of control is not necessarily badly accepted by a group but could demonstrate a limited trust in the bound or an advantaged position.
Not sharing about your last dish is creating a distance with the counterpart.
When noticed, this increases the level of interest and could trigger other measures of control to prevent detachment.
When the information is not read to be shared, different techniques will be used to hide:
- Stay in control. This security is based on the principle of being aware of who has access and when. Information or a changes are easily noticed unless an individual or collective is aware and control what is emitted.
- Denying is a confrontational way to block access to an information. It is not necessarily negative in case a surprise needs to be prepared. It can also be done by third party assistance.
- Delaying, also help on a short term or longer with compensation
- Being cryptic, is often a way as a complex message is skipped, rejected and only understood by a limited population.
- Diluting, this principle following the same consequence as above, adding a certain amount of words in an answer to lose the audience when reaching the limits of the attention span.
- Avoiding, in a short laps it is possible to start an answer that is out of topic.
Deceiving
Deviating from fact and truth is a choice because it creates a shortcuts between 2 existing references.
It could come with confusion or chosen because it is easy to simply connect values that are established without making an effort to process them.
The mechanical consequence is however to build more connections around this first link.
Building a storyline or not forgetting the actual bypass is as heavy the amount of connections needed.
During a laps of time an individual will stand in the expected comforting position.
The absolute danger is to forget the chain created. It typically loses the candidate of its own misplacement.
The hardest can also happen during a confrontation.
It is all about timing and efforts to invest because the longer it has to last the more the efforts
Publically
Confrontations
A range of reactions from passive (“I don’t have the energy for it”, happily directed) to active (need to let it out, to explain, understand… impose) can clash.
Ideally mitigation will occur when factors like time and bonds (between many) allow it.
The end of this personal journey often finish with an exchange with another individual or a community.
When possible, gradual confrontation is easier to analyse or avoids forced outcomes.
This also reassures and provide her social reflection.
There are dilemmas when reconnecting internal judgement with an external resource:
- to invest in the anticipation of being obliged of spending even more energy with the promise of settling it and saving power for long.
- outcomes can be uncontrolled, once the work is published, it is not exclusive.
The physical condition, the strength of reaction and the freshness of experience will fuel activities, engagements and responses.
The way it will be expressed will also be subject to energy loss.
Let’s imagine schematise an individual meeting another one, or a group and both will debate around their positive (+), neutral or Negative (-) impressions about a similar experience.
| Opinions: Individual ↓ vs. Other(s) → | + | Neutral | – |
| + | Everyone is reassured and can open about it. This increases bonds and implements or confirms the basis of a culture. | The joyful reaction is rapidly adjusting, self assessment and caution exercised. | Depending on the relation, asking questions or making a statement will create a debate. Sharing positive experiences boosts resilient thinking. This can reinforce the positive feelings. Let’s develop further below. |
| Neutral | Empathy but also a series of internal questions will be observed. This can also motivate to test again. | Ultimately unreachable, mild exchanges will occur with limited consequences on personal development. It can also be the result of multiple events showing mastery or the wrong audience. | Caution observed as it could be misinterpreted. Could create interrogations. |
| – | Depending on the relation, asking questions or making a statement will create a debate. Vocal or silent reinforcement of the feeling and creation of a gap with the audience. Resilience, stress factors and other heavy feeling can also affect an individual. | Debating conciliate as this tend to generate less energy A path to a different journey alone towards a new non conflicting point of view can also be agreed | Reassuring and resolved by implementing or confirming the basis of a culture |
The field of reactions
As reminder of the table of confrontation, we can also visualise the field of reactions, like a heat map.
++
+N
+-
N +
NN
N –
– +
– N
– –
There are more levels of interactions will allow to:
- Celebrate a bond (++, — or NN), this can feel rewarding as it energises beyond the food itself.
- Adjust to the group or personal values (+N, N+, N- or -N), the balanced reaction is a reassurance because it gives chances to individuals to stay close and a fatigue as there is a notion of personal effort. (By the way, it is okay to adjust because we are not aware of everything.)
- Alienate (+- or -+).
In case of conflict, the most impactful, out of the confrontation itself is the rapid way the values will evolve. (It is not always a negative outcome as it would give enough time to consider a better approach or objectives.)
Let’s also clarify that out of emergencies, none of the first produced and perceivable reactions are being fully appreciated, if understood by the audience.
It looks smear or unfinished and usually needs re-work to be perfected.
A longer period invested on the task allows less to chance (or uncontrolled outcomes), the simpler and more universally accepted the reaction is.
Usually, a burst of energy/motivation will provoke a short term reaction with rapid ripple effects .
Diffused in preparation, this same amount will allow a long term and controlled outcome.

It all comes down to attention and/or the urge of reacting.
A constant state of adjustment can lead to boredom.
Last but not least, you can shuffle all the colours if you confront with one or a group of liars.
Winning or losing
In the case of an adjustment or alienation, the format and consequences have a major effect on personal acceptance.
Out of the state of celebration, let’s first take the format where we often consider an interaction with someone, like a fight. The only outcome will be winning or losing.
Depending on the argument, the whole relationship created and maintained in the past with an individual or collective is placed as an equal (to your perception) in front of you.
Placing this relationship, especially with friends at test is a good way to evaluate the mutual trust and respect to a certain extent.
Both party will make considerate efforts to understand each others and depending on the level of struggle empathy on both will be more or less used.
It is very important to consider the long term impact of an argument because the winner will consolidate the strength of it’s a value and the loser will have to make an effort to complete the reconstruction of its own values. This will wear the strength of the relationship as a damage control.
The value of a relationship is therefore constantly maintained through conflict resolution.
We understand here that to maintain a relationship. It is okay to agree or disagree In a safe environment supported by:
- empathy,
- respect,
- willingness to listen.
Consider that losing an argument is often the consequence of a lack of preparation, emotions and capacity to focus on the effort.
This situation is not necessarily bad because the stress generated will fuel a lesson learned and a motivation to better prepare a next confrontation.
The best chance to win an argument is to be true, helpful and kind:
- Come prepared with enough. studies in comparison to support it.
- Demonstrate that you have listened and acknowledged the point(s) presented by your counterpart.
- Control your emotion to limit the amount of interferences. (Verbal and nonverbal.)
- Politely reach an agreement and involve all parts to close the conversation as positively as possible.
Opinions and politic
Changing or keeping a value has a cost.
To prevent scaling effort to adapt routines, elements of control have been trained by the collective. These tools are often in possession with the most influent.
Aimed to stem the ripple effects, these tool will are altered by they intensity and frequency of use, effectiveness or the benefactor to become less effective when confronted.
Sharing information is critical for a interconnected species.
It is a strength because it accelerate and amplifies the effectiveness of a decision and a weakness as it makes an individual powerless when it comes to personal decisions.
Reactions will depend on the nature of the information and consequences depend on whether the information is positive or negative.
Various feedbacks around reputation, acceptance, fear, and more are expected.
If the most extreme responses could eventually alter this particular food to make a point, and use the example to better influence the majority, others could impose specific dietary for different conventional reasons, as this can also be another way to give credit. (If they didn’t like, maybe the someone else will…)
Imposing choices openly and purposely (to fully stop or committing to eat) exposes an individual to social pressure and presses both to act extreme and short term decisions as none may have enough energy to control the exponential flow of consequences.
The stronger the reactions, the more this in-prints reactive commands. On another hand, the most convinced, resilient and organised usually has the last word.
It can also last longer, if popular (soft, accessible, exploitable or appealing) enough.
Until no one or everyone from a same influenced group eats that food.
To consider all of these a systematic approach is a first stage of a change.
The complications increase if the group is not normalised.
Unavoidable obstacles like the geography or capacity to understand signals, complexity … can change the outcomes. This forces adaptations or exceptions, reduces the audience and is heavier to manage.
Lets not forget here the potential loss of advantages that are irrationally as valued as other references.
Assessments can draft standards, anticipate influences on individuals and the group, measure the overwhelming presence, emptiness or stability.
This will not be followed if it is not understood and acquired. A work to agree with most needs to take place to educate, deescalate, deflate conflicts.
The finding ways to share, common grounds when variables are as many as prominent individuals takes resources. Mostly limited the triangle “time, effort and concentration” will fail to deliver result if not all angle have careful attention.
Not all of the questions have been suitably answered. It however aims to follow the positive moral of an organised group and as known: “popular doesn’t mean correct“.
Reaching masses with the same information helps each individuals with setting references and limit in what can be integrated or rejected.
Suggesting directions to the targeted community will effectively:
- reassure the major part who gives weights to opinions that justify leading and influencing roles. These are made of:
- A highly motivated sub-group of individuals.
- A major portion or indifferent and influenceable subjects
- disappoint a minor part of the audience who will
- faithfully comply
- prepare a next request for update
- leave the group.
- reduce noises for long enough.
Again, in the notion of conflict, you don’t just have 2 opposed opinions, there is also a third aspect that will take advantage of the consequences.
The fear factor
For the noisiest newcomers or entities failing to use all its capabilities, who will publicly demonstrate their ignorance later and question the apparent balance…
Instead of wasting running through another circle of explanations, the inclusion of an easy blaming range of solutions that often include triggering a public and exemplary harm or embarrassment sets the stage for any other attempts for not trusting the system in place that knows better.
This usually sends an alarming amount of signals and will precipitate all audience to a state of nervousness.
In these moment all senses and past references will temporary be brought to maximum attention to create a more effective “negative” picture with its causes and consequence.
Discretion will also be religiously be observed if after all considered efforts, despite all this food available, everyone’s option is not on the menu.
This reaction is not irrational. It takes directly to our primal body parts.
Fear drives a near uncontrolled reaction that aims to protect from:
Nervousness
Present
A natural priority above any other objectives
Pain
Outstanding stimulation
Uses a lot of resources
Death
Radical state
Nothingness
There, any elaborated values are downgraded to unnecessary. Only routines will guide the reactions, only skills will be chosen. Whatever The Engine will do, it will choose the most energy efficient.
A quick assessment if time allows, guides the initial steps out of it.
Where am I and where should I be.
Can I use my sensors, my body
What did I learn to do in that situation? Can I apply it now.
A typical example of dealing with pain would be when eating spicy food with a high level on the Scoville scale.
You will suddenly feel summoned by an outstanding amount of signals that you sensors will have to deal with. This burst of information will overload the way you process the information and the only priority will be to stop it. Considering all the preparations you will remember that adding ingredients like cream or honey could help as opposed to a sparkly or warm beverage.
Interestingly for prepared/educated people, the urge will be controlled.
Because the more trained you are, the easier it is to deal with pain.
Reaching a higher objective like a pleasure, will increase the tolerance. This accepted value overrides.
Of course falling into excess can lead to various consequences between addiction and damages, eventually physical that are, for this particular food, still not clear.
On a conceptual level, you can use the example of not eating something to gain a higher level later.
Above all, a trauma is when we experience very stressful, frightening or distressing events that are difficult to cope with or out of our control regardless the level of stress.
The power to decide
We have clarified how involving the capture, ranking and comparison of values are and the critical advantage of a memory.
Mapping out the field of potential reactions also clearly shows what dishes are easier to digest.
It is still important to call out that all of these are supported by one single act: Choice.
Basic tools to make stand on your preferences have also been explored.
A space that of course uses time and effort needs to be planned to explore and compare.
This help understand our feeling and imagine the consequences by cooking the right personal receipt and eventually let people taste it if appropriated.
There two main schools of decisions here, and if one prefers to deliver a timely outcome, even if this interferes with the quality the other will prefer something delayed but ready. Note that if on the second it looks better, nearly perfect, it will, on both, still be subject to improvements.
Hesitations are nothing else but the consequences of a lack of info and concentration.
Delaying an act of choice is a waste and only demonstrates that has to be made.
This will likely bring all this reflection and personal journey down to instincts. If you don’t trust them, you can have a longer way.
A choice is often urged or satisfied by:
- A short or long term reward,
- Completing the personal matrix of values built with experiences.
- A bound with a group,
- Its consequences (effort/satisfaction)
An arbitration is involving in a limited timeframe but allows the evolution from a presented state to two or more outcomes.
It is the opposite of inertia, the source of an action…. life
When you socialise and if you hear complains about the quality of the dish.
Why am I facing the situation?
What am I?
Who am I?
Where am I?
How should you reply?
With urge and throw it back at this person?
With empathy hoping that investment will be worth?
Should I react? Why, When, How?
What are my options?
How often does it happen to you?
Who actually complain? about What?… and Where?
Will you have enough energy to stand your choices?
There are many rules to help decide.
The 10/10/10 Rule
What is the impact of this decision? How will you feel & will it matter in…
- 10 minutes
- 10 months
- 10 years
If not urgent:
Think > Talk > Do (Instead of just acting and reacting).
A choice exempt from stress is a better choice.
The fastest way to step away from urge is to remove the CO2, slow the heart rate and shift to relaxation by breading one to 3 time deeply and feel the problems leaving the body on this long and warm exhalation.
Confront your emotions, visualise them. You are meant to face this but what outcome will you chose?
You cannot be paralysed by overthinking because fear will force actions. You aim to find peace.
Existing examples and standards are here to help.
Peace and harmony
Routine paves the way a bored resilience, acceptance to move on. Less energy will be used to accomplish recurring tasks.
Later in life, when all capacities to receive signals, including taste simply fades away. Looking the evolutionary stage of these juvenile discoveries, realising how short sighted they all act and how much resources it takes to impose now regretted or maybe dated experiences to better use or reduce waste, creates a natural state of fatigue.
Relentlessly the natural mechanism that cleans, optimise, appease and delete what is not needed will apply until the ultimate choice.
Expect nothing
Appreciate everything
Silence and harmony recovered, the apparent calm takes place for a moment, rerouting efforts to other antagonisms.
A debate has been opened in another, more collective format.
Most testimonies, fact checked, limits, opportunities collected and confronted.
It is not necessary objective, efficient, influenced by the culture in place but this eye opener gives a different perspective to slowly accommodate the a common value.
The directive is settled and will allow more collaboration.
The collective is now newly reorganised into similar subgroup of passionate oppositions and ready to diffuse and contain the docile but balanced opinions.
Conclusion
Eating is a need.
I am what I eat, doesn’t matter how the food or experience is accepted.
Tasting is a desire to fuse abstract concepts to personal experience.
When some will be animated by the consequence of an act, other will value the opposite as more appropriate.
Where it becomes intriguing is to see the energy spent by several “unique partial collections of captures the same sample” confront until an ultimate torpid balance is being found.
After all we are all born alone, so will we die. The only space between this constant is the search for a perfect communion, this true connection with our senses.
