Knowth and Newgrange

An eye opener! This is the only thing that came up to my mind after this visit. Even worse, this question: Human being knew a complex form of communication,  had an advanced knowledge of stars, calendar and meaning of life. Something happened between. 5200 years later we all end up with a rectangular piece of plastic […]

Mizen Head: the west of the west

One of the most extreme west end of Ireland, the peninsula would be very exposed to maritime elements. I paid the entrance for you (I know…) and let you appreciate the view. I personally found it over built and worse was to start a massive block of concrete and leaving it unfinished. Worse, it’s seem […]

Midleton is not only a good Whiskey

…. but let’s be honest, its famous for this. If you identify yourself as a fan of Jameson (yessss there are some) then come to this place and you will discover how all bottles of this brand sold on this planet are made. You will also learn what better brand you should also focus on… […]

Kinsale 2017

Some souvenirs from this colourful place on the south coast of County Cork.

Giant Causeway are now real tourist attraction

First time I visited the place, you would park on the side of a tiny road and walk down the whole way on an old road. This last time was very much different. Visitor centre, outrageously expensive car park and path overused. The perfect receipt for success : is this the way we protect a […]

Dublin and around

Did I ever mentioned that I am always happy to walk around this capital? I will leave here 21 pictures of my last trips there.

Cork’ street life

We often here about the good vibes of Cork. This city was the European capital of culture in 2005 and had since made all efforts to keep the good side of it. Not only you can have a good time every day and nights but we also have the whole city center involved when bigger […]

Random tour in the South

So I basically took the car and went in Glendalough, Cahir, Cashel and Kilkenny. Here are a couple of photos to illustrate how nice this idea was 🙂

The house of Father Ted

As a fan of the TV show, it is difficult to drive in county Clare and miss this famous house. If you have more time I also suggest to spare some time in Kilfenora. Between the Vaughan’s Pub and the lovely people from the surrounding accommodation, this will definitely be a good refreshing time.

Belfast before Brexit

A last tour in Belfast before things will get more complicated. This city is a dense blend of history, culture and it just doesn’t look like that at first. Driving in town will first look “small” but the more you spend time, the more you need time to decrypts all symbols.

Seasons greetings from Cork

Busy between the school Choirs and gifts hunting, I can now wish you: Bonne Fete Caf Happy pub crawling Happy Christmas, and so on … May the end of the year be enjoyable And please spare a tree: be more creative than this 🙂

The Beara Peninsula

The the west of county Cork, the Beara Peninsula will charm you with its view, people and quiet surroundings. I can just remember how relax I was by just thinking about it.

Amsterdam, culture and snow

For a couple of hour or a couple of days, this city is definitely worse the visit. A train takes 15 min from the airport and leave nearly every 5 min.

The Samson crane barge at Ardmore in the County of Waterford

In 1987, off the coast of Waterford, pushed by the Gael, a massive crane barge from Liverpool crashed along the cliffs. Dangerous pollutants were removed soon after the barge went aground and the 2 men aboard were rescued so naturally, instead of removing the remains, why wouldn’t we make history? I suppose we have more to follow […]

In this charming Haut-Rhin

Childhood or not, Alsace is one of the best compromise in Europe, Celte, Germanic, French and most of central in Europe. Alsace is rich in history.

Plants of Brittany

Can I invite you to crawl down a bit an see what we are usually stepping on when travelling in Brittany. I should do more of these, they are little treasures.
